Various - Jewels Of Da Nine, EP (1997)

Yo! All good? I had a request to post this EP on YouTube so I'll do that, eventhough I've already posted that Chris Styles joint "Piece of the Pie", heh.

This were released in 1997 on Backyard Recordings, same label which Crimson League had an release on. Crimson League is defenetly worth checking out. Some hateful rap coming outta Rob & Screwface mouths.

Anyway, not much more to say about this EP apart from that it features some non-Hip Hop track by Keyna, but it's all good. You need to relax some after all the heat this EP brings! The winner for me is "Piece of the Pie" as I've already posted that before and therefor I wasn't sure if I'd make a post about this EP but I did it anyway since people wanted it.

Da Ooh ! - The Chemistry, 12" (1994)

HOKUZ POKUZ, ABA-KADABRA!

Waddap, today I'll share a really amazing wax. The artist is Da Ooh ! and the other is Jam D.O.T. (Da Original Troopa) which some people may be familiar with from his Soul Search'n which is rather dope that one as well! Be on the look out for some more of him in the future!

Anyway, on to Da Ooh ! - This - as seen, were released in 1994. The best year of rap music, hands down. It was released on Warning Records. Both Jam D.O.T. & Da Ooh ! are from Queens, New York if I'm not mistaken.

It's very hard for me to pick the winner here. But if I had to chose I'd have to pick "Watch Out". What about you? Both tracks are quite simular but Jam kills it on the b-side, for real.

PS: Why the fuck does the embeded links get all black from YouTube? It wasn't like this some days ago.

EDIT: Now it seems to work again with the picture. What the fuck was that shit! Now I might as well start with divshare previews instead.

The Henchmen - Beware: Lyricly Dangerous, EP (1994) / What U Gonna Do?, 12" (1994) / Rough And Rugged, 12" (1996)

Yo peepz. Fuck you! - Nah, but I'm pissed. Had a really bad evening & I'm drunk as fuck. I was at some fucked up place with just metal music & my homies left because they had to work early tomorrow and eventually I left too. Anyway, lets jump to the review of the music instead shall we..

As you might have noticed I've always been a fan of the rugged type of shit thus I figured I'd share some more rugged shit for you.

Here is The Henchmen which is one of my favorite groups, no doubt. I don't want to explain why, really. They are from Bronx, New York! Be the fuck ware!

I'll start off with their first release which is called "Beware: Lyricly Dangerous" and just as the last post I did this is some rugged stuff but this time the flow of the music is better & the production is more on point compared to the previous post. The quality isn't perfect but you should be able to fix that since it is 256 quality. The winner for me is defenetly "Wartime". Whatcha think, homeboy? There ain't much information about this release but I would guess it was released in 1993 by the sound of it.

Download

So you liked their first and I guess and you want more..Aight, here is their second release called What U Gonna Do? This was realeased on Ill Cyde Records and the year is still 1994. This is my favorite of their releases. The winner is defenetly "Flippin' With The Henchmen" for me eventhough "What U Gonna Do" is a splendid track as well, no doubt. I know many headz may find it their best and I wont blame you for that son.

Daaaaaaaam! This shit makes you fucked up doesn't it?

Download

I guess I gotta put their final release on this shit too..

Okey, here is their final release which is called "Rough And Rugged". This was released on South Bronx Records in 1996. I find this their weakest release eventhough the beat on "Rough And Rough" is on point but as with so many other releases you can easily hear it on their voice that they're tired and doesn't go out with the same willingness as their other releases, maybe they just FUCKING LOST THEIR TALENT ALL OF A SUDDEN WHEN THE YEAR 1996 HIT (Semi-sarcasm). I'm fucked up, but really - I'm just so used to groups losing the realness after a while.

Download

Enjoy the stuff I posted guys, these are not easy to find & I've spent shitloads of months trying to get them. This is the only post I'll make today because I'm so fucking drunk right now & I want to roll this weed I got infront of me but I'm not sure I'll make it. Infact I'm really amazed I even managed to make this long post, lol. It took me 1h and 15 minutes though..

25 Is Life - Dickstruction, 12" (1995)

Ruff enuff 2 bring da ruckus!

Yeah.. this guy reminds me of Sticky Fingaz. Same raw style & explicit lyrics, but 25 is Life brings that flava & boom bap on top of his raw voice & lyrics. This is an almost perfect 12" in my opinion. The production is on point too. Very simple & plain production but yet so suited. Don't you think? I admit his flow cudda been better but you can almost never have it all perfect.

This guy comes from South Jamaica, Queens in New York and this 12" were released in 1995 on Kick Ass Records. That label brought some illness. Both Darcsyde and Militant Massive are worth hearing out on!

Here is his other release from 1994:

This track is just CRAZY!

I'm sorry that I do not have any cover nor any instrumentals for these. But as I said before - It is all about the music not pictures.

Indie wantz..

Hi.

Some Biggie Smalls!

Yo peepz! What's up? I hope you're fine and enjoying what's left of the "summer". Here in Sweden it's been raining half the days in July and been like 15 degrees basically - kinda not funny.

Anyway I saw the movie "Notorious" recently which is about Notorious B.I.G. and his life. Back when he was a kid until the night he got shot. The movie was fucking great so you should defenetly check it out guys!

Here is some clips from Biggie that I got to think about and had to see again after I saw the movie. No words..

Imagine this is from 1989 and he was 17 years old. I guess a lot of people have seen this already but it's really worth to be seen a dussin times more & the fact that i thought this clip was even better after I saw the movie doesn't change the fact that I shouldn't post it here! He truly changed the rap game.

Oh, and here is another clip which is defenetly worth checking out. This is from a concert in California just some days? before he got murdered. You can actually hear it in the crowd that it is a lot of anger in there due to the East & West rivalry and the fact that Tupac had been murdered not too long ago.

Well, damn.. Too bad Puffy had to clown around half ruining this great show, lol.

HERE is his debut album "Ready to Die" from 1994 which I'd say is his best and also one of my favorite albums of all times! And HERE is some freestyles, demo recordigs and some more stuff by Biggie and various artists for those interessted. The quality is rather low but it's rare & exclusive stuff. Thanks to DJ Mike Nice for these and rest in peace to Biggie!

Absent Minded - Extreme Paranoia In Stocktown, CD (1996)

Here is their final release which was released in 1996 on Polydor. This is one hella good CD for every one that loves Hip Hop. A must have! I don't want to say which track(s) that I like the most because there are so many awesome tracks on this CD. I hope you'll enjoy it as much as I do. Does anyone know if they ever did a video by the way?

That was it for Absent Minded. I wish they did more! I might post some more stuff with ADL on it in the future though, we'll see.

Peace.

Absent Minded - Topics, EP (1995)

Aight, here is Absent Minded's second release called "Topics". This EP is alright. The winner is defenetly on the B-side called "Where I'm At". Such an amazing track, damn! What you think? The other tracks are junk compared to that gem. Give it a listen and I hope you'll like this EP, especially the "Where I'm At" track.

This record was released on two seperate labels; Breakin' Bread & Polydor in 1995 just as their first release.

Absent Minded - Alright, 12" (1995)

Today I'll present to you one of my favorite swedish groups. My guess is that a lot of people ain't really familiar with this group. Because they have indeed been majorly slept on at least here in Sweden and I guess they've been slept on elsewhere in the globe too (Damn, why is it always that the best and most skilled groups/artists gets recognized the least? Seriously). I think they were recognized more in the States though, but that's just my guess. Either way, this is a very talented group & I will be posting all of their releases except for one which will be covered in their CD anyway.

Okey, Absent Minded consists of the rapper ADL and the producer Vladi.C from Stockholm, Sweden. This is their first 12" which were released on Breakin' Bread records in 1995. I would say this is their weakest release, but hey..maybe you find this 12" their strongest, who knows. We all have different taste, don't we.

Major Stress - Up Against Tha Wall, CD (1997)

Hell yea! You enjoyed his first 12" didn't you? Here is a REALLY obscure & dope CD which I know many headz out there want to hear. It was released in 1997 on Norfside Records. I am sorry that I do not have any cover for this CD but I hope you'll manage anyway. It's all about the music isn't it? Anyway, not much more to say about this. I'd say this CD as one of my favorite CD's of all time so grab it & give it a deep listen. It's worth it, trust me.

I chose not to post his other release because I find it pretty wack.

Major Stress - More And More, 12" (1995)

Here is Major Stress. This is his first release & in my opinion the dopest outta his 12 inches. This was released in 1995 by Norfside Records. Both tracks were produced by Salaam Remi which is a very talented DJ and producer. You should defenetly check out some of his other works! Here is his homepage for those interessted.

The A-Side is the winner for me! What you think?

So..light up that L & relax!

Chris Styles - Piece Of The Pie, 12" (1996)

Aight, here is his second release. This was released in 1996 on the same label and features Six Pack which is Nicki D, Paula Perry, Rah Digga, Heather B., Precious P. & Bahamadia. If you are interessted they released a dope 12" called just "Six Pack" which is worth checking out. Anyway, enjoy some more Chris Styles now! And as I said in my first post - I'm still looking for his other 12" called "I Wanna Fly".

Chris Styles - Mortal Combat, EP (1995)

Hey ya'll Hip Hop headz! As you can see I just started a blog which I'll be posting some dope motherfuckin' music on! I hope you will follow it because it's really worth it if you like Hip Hop - I can tell you that! I'm going to focus on mostly vinyl records, rare & common - some of which have been covered on some hidden blogspot before, but who cares. (Most likely the link is dead or most of the people haven't heard it anyway.) I'm also going to post CD's & Mixtapes which I think is worth being recognized a lot more and I'll try write a summery onto each post if I can be arsed to do it. I'll start with doing so though and we'll see how long I'll manage until the boredom reaches it's peak, heh. I'll be doing embed's from YouTube so you can hear the track so you know if you want to download it or not. Not everything will suit everyone's ears, ya' know. Anyway, we'll see how the blog turns out to be. Hopefully there will be some followers too, lol.

Anyway, some of you may be familiar with my YouTube page. If you aren't then you should check it out!

Worth to mention is that THE MORE FEEDBACK I GET THE MORE I WILL UPLOAD so do not hesitate to write a comment here & there. You can write which record you like and/or which track. Also, feel free to request something and if I have it I will upload it for you.

Peace 2 the headz!

:: Here is Chris Styles from Brooklyn, N.Y with his first release called "Mortal Combat" as seen. This was released 1995 on Mind Bending Music and this EP is quite hard to find. I'd appriciate if anyone got his other release. If you want something in return that you are looking for which I might have then that would be no problem. Just hit me up in the comment section. Thank you. ::
